I have just learned that Libbie Crossman will be in the the Solomon Islands for the next week or so. Libbie is there as the Australian president of MU and is there for the MU Conference. Before she left, Libbie knew that she was to preach in the Cathedral in Honiara on Sunday and next Thursday. She didn’t know until she arrived that she would be the first woman ever to preach in the Cathedral.
Next year, that Diocese will consider the ordination of women at its Synod, which makes this a very significant event. Please remember Libbie in your prayers this week.
